Would you like to learn more about creating a Makerspace?
The Maker’s Red Box contains everything but a makerspace that a teacher and a group of 12 students
need to start making. It consists of 16 two hour long sessions that build on each other.
Technical requirements:
- 4 pcs 3D printers
- 4 pcs micro:bit microcontrollers
- 1 laser cutter
- 4 pcs soldering stations
- 2 pcs laptops
Developing soft and hard skills is essential for kids to become successful in the future. To achieve this goal, we have created this superhero themed curriculum ready to be used for teaching in makerspaces. Kids can create their own superhero personas and face interesting challenges while digital storytelling helps them convey their emotions and conquer their fears. As participants start designing and making, they are introduced to 3D modeling, 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics and coding. They face interesting and fun challenges and delve into deep ethical and moral questions in their adventures. The curriculum has been designed to be absolutely user friendly and focuses on success stories to inspire the participants.
